"Good position for walk into town. Reception staff originally had no note of my telephoned special request for rooms. Later, another Receptionist found the note and all was ok. Updated rooms but one still sporting old wallpaper at the back of clothing hanging space. Restaurant in older part of hotel needs an update. All very brown. In general staff are good and our bar snack ( tapas) and coffees etc were very nice. "

"Overall experience was good. Got locked out of our room. Then asked for help which was immediate. The front desk was not staffed all the time. Ought to have had a notice in these instance of where to go for help. The land line was out of action the proceeding week of our staff when telephoning for booking confirmation but now fixed. "Great stay at this gastro-pub with rooms. Room was modern, quiet, comfortable and clean. Had lunch and breakfast at the pub and both were GREAT. Staff were really helpful and pleasant, Paula in particular. Free parking and bus stops to Wrexham and Llangollen 50yds from hotel so very convenient for either. One note of caution if you pack heavily - I don’t think there’s an elevator. All in all a terrific stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. "
