"The Hotel is much improved with it's refurbished rooms. Breakfast was one of the best we have had for a ' Self service' cooked breakfast was lovely and hot on both days. I would suggest that the lunch and evening menus could do with a change.. very basic which meant we didn't eat in the hotel. "As advertised, inexpensive and functional. The host was accommodating and the location is good, on Cowley Road, with a bus stop right across the street. The house is not new or recently refurbished and the furnishings are haphasard, but wvebrything was clean and functional. A good place to stay on a budget."

"We booked a suite at the Spread Eagle. It was excellent, very spacious, over two floors, which was good for me as I dislike sleeping on the ground floor. The bed was a super king, which is always a gold star as that's what we are used to at home. One of the most comfortable beds we've ever encountered in a hotel. The bathroom had a good sized shower and an excellent bath-wider than the normal hotel bath. I would have liked a little information in the room about the wifi, the restaurant, menu...
