The restaurant a 5 minute walk from the hotel served a good breakfast, loved the fresh eggs! We also had an evening meal there that was fantastic. One hour drive to Florence and 30 minutes drive to Mugello,perfect for our stay.I would highly recommend the hotel."

"Un tuffo nel passato! Hotel (?) fermo ad almeno 30 anni fa. La gentilezza dei proprietari purtroppo non può compensare una struttura davvero obsoleta, dalle camere ai bagni. Anche il prezzo, per quanto più basso rispetto ai dintorni, è decisamente troppo per la struttura quasi da ostello anni Settanta. Mi dispiace, ma non mi sento affatto di consigliarlo per nessun motivo. "

"Whilst on the surface the hotel does not look like the grand hotels we often stay in. This hotel exceeded in experience many times. The staff are wonderful, kind and patient with a traveller. The food is very good. The breakfast set up exceeds many 5 star hotels. The location is very nice, next to a park and a river. Very relaxing and comfortable. "

"A wonderful apartment in a peaceful location. Great for us having an overnight stay whilst travelling through Italy. The room was comfortable, private and very quiet. A lovely garden and easy if you have a pet. The breakfast was fabulous and the owners really cant do enough to help. we bought two bottles of local wine which was delicious! A big thumbs up from us and we will certainly stay over again if we are passing by. Highly Recommended."

"It is an extraordinary place, an old building in the old city of Popi with wonderful views of the valley next to the Popi castle with private parking next door. However, it has many details that could improve the room, which is quite poorly decorated, with bathroom accessories of very poor quality, the mattress is old and soft. In short, the room could be of a different quality than what it is."

Getting there was an adventure on the narrow winding roads. We were second guessing ourselves on the way there. It was a very scenic drive but in the middle of nowhere.
