Great little hotel in the lovely village of Melrose. The food at the restaurant/pub was excellent and there was a cozy fire buring away. I booked a single accomodation and the room was on the smaller size but perfect for my needs.

Orchard House Lodges was our base for nearly a week. It was the perfect place to unwind and rest after our days of touring beautiful Scotland. It was clean and furnished with everything we needed, including preparing simple meals when we desired. The views are beautiful, it’s very quiet, and only a couple of miles into town for any shopping needs or restaurants/take-outs you may want. Overall a wonderful choice for those who don’t love crowded cities and hotels! Oh, and the highland coos are...

Favorite stay of our entire Scotland trip. The staff are genuinely lovely, so you feel welcomed rather than processed. Clean room, quick breakfast, lots of historic character, and a bar that fills with locals at night, which told us we'd picked the right spot. Would absolutely stay again!

We highly recommend The Leddie for your next visit to the East Lothian coast. The Leddie provides an elegant and upscale ambiance at a reasonable price. It was perfect for our “home base” for the East Lothian portion of our golf trip which included North Berwick, Gullane, Muirfield and Renaissance Club. The Leddie was renovated within the last two years so the appointments were all fairly new. The dinners and breakfasts were excellent. The staff, including especially the bartending staff,...

Beautiful hotel, great dinner and breakfast and fantastic location right next to the lovely abbey. We loved it. And the receptionist was so nice! Perfect for first night on Saint Cuthbert’s Way!

Great stay, very clean and beautiful and the staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The receptionists and other workers were very welcoming and professional and helpful and accomodating.I dont like the rule of the hotel about you cant bring outside food(cooked) like pizza and food in box etc., into your room. That is the worse rule you can have at a hotel without a proper explanation that makes sense. Was told guests complain about the smell. That cant be.Because if a restaurant is on property, how does that explanation make sense. If one is worried about rats and cockroaches...

Colin and Lisa make you feel right at home. The room had a comfortable bed and large bathroom and was very clean.

Beautifully decorated large rooms, comfortable beds, good shower, great location and friendly helpful host added up to a wonderful stay in a gorgeous old priory building oozing with history. Breakfast was made fresh every morning and was delicious and varied with lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, full Scottish or other options. Host Robin gave us a great welcome and walkthru but gave us plenty of space. We loved our stay and highly recommend his house.

Staff were great. Food was fantastic. I highly recommend the garlic bread with cheese. Comfortable bed in a nice place. Easy to check in and out. Just walk inside and ask a staff member for the key.

Wonderful hotel, very accommodating for our late arrival. Wonderful staff

Great staff, excellent food/dining experience. Comfortable bed and great location.

Hotel Ceilidh-Donia was a great find! Hotel Ceilidh-Donia was charming, and comfortable. Kevin, and rest of staff were exceptional and made us feel truly welcome. We especially enjoyed a good drink in the quiet lounge and bar area after our busy days exploring Edinburgh. Breakfast was quality, and made to order. Perfect to have a good hot breakfast before setting out on for a cold November day in Scotland. It's just a few minutes from some of the best attractions in Edinburgh. Very...

The restaurant next door was lovely for a quick bite. The room and hotel were great and a good location for our needs. The staff was excellent. The only thing we found that could have been better was our shower head was leaking sideways and was impossible to keep it from creating a tiny river on the bathroom floor. If you’re booking this location for a out of Edinburgh stay before a flight - make sure you factor in traffic / travel time that is sufficient to get through a morning rush hour &...

Loved it so much I stayed again!

Unique hotel. Good location between city center and airport. Bus stop to city center across the street from hotel.

I do not even know where to begin. Richard and his wife (who I am not sure how to spell her name, so I will not attempt) are the most kind and gracious of hosts. They allowed me to check in early and even upgraded my room at no cost to me for two nights. This upgrade was their own doing, I did not request it. Richard gave me a wonderful run down of buses, directions, taxi services, everything I would need to get started on my most dazzling vacation of Edinburgh. The rooms were cozy, warm,...
