We loved our one night stay here. I was worried because I didn’t realize there was no lift on the property, but the staff was very helpful in getting us to our room.
The restaurant next door was lovely for a quick bite. The room and hotel were great and a good location for our needs. The staff was excellent. The only thing we found that could have been better was our shower head was leaking sideways and was impossible to keep it from creating a tiny river on the bathroom floor. If you’re booking this location for a out of Edinburgh stay before a flight - make sure you factor in traffic / travel time that is sufficient to get through a morning rush hour & always prepare for some not so great rain conditions on the drive. There are also no convenient souvenir shops near this location if anyone is wondering; so if you wanted a last minute pick up - get it in the larger cities.
This hotel was so far from the train station. There was a lot of construction going on, and maybe if this had not happened, we could have had a better chance of taking the bus to the city. There are no restaurants close by.
