"EVERYTHING WAS FINE FOR US"

"We had an enjoyable stay overall, despite a few minor inconveniences. The hotel benefits from a great location, and the availability of on-site parking was particularly convenient. We felt that a few improvements could really help elevate the experience. While the hotel is generally well maintained, some areas feel a little tired, neglected and lacking in purpose. The leisure area, particularly the space next to the now-closed swimming pool, is one example. We stayed in a family room, which...

"I stayed in this hotel in Exeter Oct 26-29. The woman who checked me in could not seem less happy to see me or in in checking me in. My room was lovely and quiet and clean... until I lost something and looked under the bed where there were someone's dirty underwear, a pair of glasses and God knows what else amidst an inch of dust. "Als Geschäftsreisender auf der Durchreise war es in Ordnung. Das Hotel ist auch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Das Frühstück war frisch gemacht und sehr lecker"

"A little dated and basic, but was very pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed my spontaneous night here with the dog, staff very kind and helpful. Big cups in the room, with nice biscuits and Yorkshire tea! Very affordable too for the night, would very happily return - given at a services, I didn’t hear the motorway at all! I stayed for convenience, not a ‘need’ and personally for £37 a night, I’d happily go back again!"

"From the very start of our stay to then end we could not fault The Dolphin in anyway shape or form. The room was beautifully decorated as well as the bathroom and had everything you would need. The restaurant for evening meal as well has breakfast was incredible, the freshness of food was really good quality and fresh ingredients. All staff were friendly from the outset, and were always willing to go above and beyond. Fabulous location to walking amenities, we were on the road side and the...

"Love staying here. Lovely room with a balcony, huge bed and spotlessly clean. Staff are really nice and food is fabulous and hot. Lovely setting and so quiet. Ground floor rooms available"

"Room was freezing tiny wall heater mouldy towels"
