The room was clean and well maintained, the staff were polite, and professional, we did not bring the car, we came by train.
We did not have breakfast, as we had other plans with family.
The room was comfortable. The bathroom was a little tired but ok. Staff were helpful I didn't eat in so can't comment to about food. Just used the hotel as a place to sleep. Parking was very useful and seemed secure. Would stay again.
It was a great location and only a few minutes walk to Exeter Quay. The carpets in the public areas looked very old, tired and in need of a clean. Nice clean bed linen but room wasn’t serviced during our stay. Bedroom door had a big gap at the bottom which let a lot of corridor noise and light into the room.
A very convenient location with onsite parking. Breakfast was reasonably priced and convenient. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Very central location.
Excellent staff service, very efficient and friendly.
Room very clean but very warm despite having a fan so didn't sleep well although the bed was comfy.
Breakfast was excellent both quality and quantity and pricing👌.
My room was great. Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom, and the coffee sachets in the room were the best I've ever tasted. The location is so central to all I wanted to visit. All this in a 600 year old place is something special. Highly recommend.
Great stay here at this exceptionally well located hotel / Pub in Exeter. Friendly staff great pub and lovely food.
Will absolutely return next time we are over in Exeter
The room was clean, bed comfortable, but the room was really hot, even with the fan on. since the room was at the front with one aspect it was very hard to get air into the room and it would benefit a lot from Air Con. Parking was available, but it was additional cost. The breakfast was very good value.
Comfortable room, excellent evening meal, superb breakfast and wonderful staff, what more could you want. Also has parking and a short walk to the city centre. Will be coming back on our next trip.
Basic double was fine. Everything we needed. Great location and plenty of breakfast options in town. Historic property so expect winding stairs and tight corners that comes with character. Only niggle was the heat of the room - but a fan was provided for the room if wanted. Great to have a parking option too in the middle of Exeter. Would stay again.
I’ve stayed at the White Hart many times over the last 35 years, it’s always had a quaint old fashioned feel, but it has now gone seriously downhill, reflected by the lack of guests and customers and atmosphere in the restaurant and bars. Check in was a nightmare, took an hour and I had to transfer rooms twice ( my first allocated room was actually still occupied, as I found upon entering!). Two bars but not a single bitter available, only lager…Devon has numerous great breweries, what’s the problem? My room key was deactivated on the second day.
I do have to thank Dave on the reception desk for his patience in dealing with their dreadful systems, and the young lad at breakfast was very helpful. But I won’t be staying again… sad experience
The hotel was in a great location close to the city centre and has an ample car park at a great price. The room and facilities were very clean and the bar offered a wide selection of food and drinks. I would definitely use this hotel again.
The hotel is in a very convenient location close to the city centre and cathedral. It is a historic building but we stayed in the fairly modern extension, which was a nice, spacious room with good facilities for tea and coffee etc. Breakfast was plentiful and you could order from a good range of cooked options including full English. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Location is fantastic only a few minutes walk from city centre. Parking available on site for £10 a night. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room was modern, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was cooked to order and very nice. Bar area had lots of charm. A great place to stay to explore the city.

The property itself is lovely and tucked away with its own little alley. The pub and garden were charming, and the wine room was cool and cozy. However, staff was often nowhere to be seen in the restaurant or pub, and one of the younger men always seemed annoyed by anything you wanted.
Food was grossly overpriced for what you got, and the rooms were unbearably hot. We also couldn't get the towel warmer to turn off so the bathroom was sweltering and we had to keep the door shut to keep the rest of the room from heating anymore than it already was.
On the upside, there's plenty in walking distance, including a cheap pub right across the street.
