"It’s a good idea to message the hotel beforehand to reserve the onsen on the evening you arrive; we were lucky that there was a spot available, but you will have no problem getting a spot any other day. The onsen is such a nice way to unwind after a long day of exploring this gorgeous mountain area. Yoi tabi wo!"

"Lovely spacious hotel with a traditional Japanese onsen. Staff were very friendly and polite. Unfortunately, hotel does not accommodate vegetarians very well. Though there is vegetarian options for breakfast, there is nothing available at other times. Additionally they have eco housekeeping policy where they just leave fresh towels and toiletries outside your room. Any trash has to be left outside the room for it to be cleared. "

"Sadly this hotel really isn’t suitable for Europeans or Americans. We were served with little warmth or hospitality upon arrival and not custom to our taste of breakfast or lifestyle. Everything shuts in the town centre at 5pm and dinner and bar ends 8pm here so it was a very lonely experience. Room was tired, dirty and small gestures such as no coffee offered at 9.35 (5 minutes after breakfast ended!) little things like this made a disappointing visit. The food was very raw and undercooked in...
