"This is a pleasant and convenient hotel that I would definitely stay at again."

"Nice vintage hotel , breakfast was very basic, in line with expectations. Nostalgic location but beautiful"

"Firstly, the hotel, staff and amenities are really good. The reason for my low score was the noise from the weddings. It was unbearable. I was in Wakefield on a business trip. I received an email a couple of days before to say there would be a wedding on the first night of my stay. When I arrived I was told that there was going to be a wedding on both days. "No toilet facilities since we were allocated the room. No flushing toilet all stay. Was promised it would be looked at, it wasn’t so had to sleep in an unsanitary room! Still awaiting for a part refund (since 3 October)! Avoid!"

"The food is good and the staff were cordial. Generally the facilities are quite good."

"Had a lovely 2 night stay for work related activities. Staff were amazing check in was quick and friendly. Car chargers available as well which is a bonus. I didn’t eat here due to work commitments but the bar area was welcoming and cosy. WiFi was an issue on the afternoon and evening of my second day which meant I couldn’t catch up on work I also didn’t have good mobile signal so couldn’t hot spot! On both evenings there was some disruption to my sleep due to cars meeting up on the car park and...
