"The property itself is lovely and tucked away with its own little alley. The pub and garden were charming, and the wine room was cool and cozy. However, staff was often nowhere to be seen in the restaurant or pub, and one of the younger men always seemed annoyed by anything you wanted. Food was grossly overpriced for what you got, and the rooms were unbearably hot. We also couldn't get the towel warmer to turn off so the bathroom was sweltering and we had to keep the door shut to keep the rest...

"Renovations are planned so we knew what to expect. Very dated but lovely old building. Staff were great and did their best. Great breakfast and comfy bed. Our stay a bit uncomfortable due to extreme heat. Despite this we enjoyed our stay."

"The King room was clean, spacious and had a decent bed. Unfortunately there is no aircon so the room gets VERY hot in summer and the small fan provided is inadequate. The hotel was also quite noisy late at night."
