"A great place for an overnight stay whilst exploring the elan valley. Clean and comfortable bed plenty of hot water. A lovely evening meal at a good price. Being a lovely sunny weekend the pub was busy and there was a little noise outside but nothing that stopped you sleeping "

"It is just the kind of inn we imagined for our stay in Wales. They serve good food and drinks, have a good mix of friendly local and is very clean. Unfortunately the ceilings are too low for me in much of the inn, including parts of our second floor room. I am 6’ 6" so it might not bother others. All in all, I like the place giving it extra points for charm and atmosphere. "

"We had a lovely stay at Tom’s for two nights with our dog. Breakfast is plentiful and cooked to order and hosts are very friendly and helpful. A warning for anyone over 6ft that some ceilings are low on the way to the rooms and a steep staircase could be difficult for some. "

"We had an absolutely lovely weekend staying at The Royal Oak. The location was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. The scenery was breathtaking and we had a lovely view from our room. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. This is a traditional pub, very cosy and again nicely decorated but retaining its traditional charm. The landlord and landlady were extremely helpful. Above all, this is dog friendly accommodation, a must for us. We would definitely stay here again. "
