Amazing location, friendly staff, and you get to sleep with the sound of waterfalls! The restaurant and food are great, and there is fast WiFi if you need to get some work done like us.
From arriving to departure the owner and staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. We went B&B, plus evening meal, which was well worth it. Big mention to three of the staff Will, Osian “Fish” and Willow who really went out of their way to make sure our 3 night stay was very memorable. Will definitely be trying the sister hotel in Dolgellau in the near future.
Stylish clean room with beautiful views over the valley. Nice modern bathroom which was very tastefully fitted out.
Stayed for a lovely dinner and drinks in the bar area.

Had a wonderful stay! Room
Was clean the bar/restaurant was really good dinner was tasty staff were very attentive only slight thing is that breakfast wasn’t great mine and my partners eggs benedict were both cold and staff seemed a bit rushed in the morning so didn’t want to ask for fresh ones so we just left it. Other than that everything was prefect and we throughly enjoyed our stay.
The front of house staff and waiting staff were great however, the kitchen really let down the stay.
Fish and chips - fish soggy not crispy, pooling with oil and the crushed Parmesan potatoes like something you would concrete bricks together with and the local trout was so overcooked it was hard to chew it.
The fish and chips were sent back and the second attempt was worse, fish still swimming in oil, the chips re-used from the first attempt and so cold at this point, the tartare sauce had developed a skin where it was re-used and the mushy peas, again re-used from the first meal/attempt and so were hard and dry.
Breakfast - the cooked breakfast for gluten free consisted of bacon egg beans half a mushroom half a tomato. The normal breakfast came out without black pudding or lava bread which was listed on the menu.
As a boutique hotel please can you consider supplying better coffee than instant Nescafé in the rooms, and in the heat of this summer consider removing the winter feather duvets? And placing more appropriate bedding?
And Adding a fan in the room?
Staff very helpful, we were able to park nearby as the car park was a short walk away.
Service excellent, food very good, great atmosphere. Would definitely stay again.
The whole place was spotless and all of the staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a wide choice of food and drinks on offer for dinner and the food was fantastic, as was the breakfast, which was freshly cooked.
Parking exactly outside the Hotel wasnt easy but there was a nearby overflow Car Park. Room was really nice, staff were exceptionally helpful and yhe food really nice. Bed was so comfortable and really enjoyed our stay here!
I would like to extend a great thanks to the Hafod hotel. Close proximity to attractions, bedroom was lovely, cosy and warm, staff were absolutely impeccable I could not remember names but you all were very hospitable and love your job dearly and did a great service for any request we needed… I even left my bag and they kept it safe. Would come again.
Great location and lovely renovated building. Staff were great and food was good.
"King" size bed felt a bit small, but the valley view made up for it!
Lovely hotel, friendly staff we went half board for 2 night's . Plenty of choices on the evening menu menu and cooked breakfast.
Great location to stay ,we went on the steam train to abwrwrstwith forgive my spelling ,didnt get round to the walk but a good excuse to come back .
