"Very friendly staff. Had some issues communicating with the hotel via email and Expedia messages, but were able to quickly resolve issues by phone and in person. Beautiful old hotel with modern features in the heart of Aberdovey."

"This hotel could be superb but needs TLC. Staff very good but the hotel needs lots of attention"

"Overall it was fine but I very expensive for what we actually got. The room was fine but small and the bed was not the best apart from that it was fine. I paid £140 for the night and breakfast which was continental was another £25 for the two of us. Very expensive for a room above a pub."

"The room [room 10, double en suite] was nothing like the pictures. First you had to lean on the door to get in cos it's too big for the frame. Then once you are in it smelled like a teenage boys room, sweat and lynx. The carpet was badly worn and peeling off the floor, the cheap divan base was broken so the mattress was either springy or wavy, didn't dare actually look at the mattress... "I absolutely loved this hotel. The only thing was having to walk from their car park to the hotel which wasn’t very well signed but in all fairness was I could have read about this before checking in. Staff were amazing and so very friendly. They were happy to help and offer advice throughout the stay. Dinner and breakfast was lovely. Cocktails great and overall a beautiful stay - if I could have stayed an extra night I would have done. Our room was up in the rafters and was superb. A twin...

"Really nice stay here during the summer holidays. Lovely view out of our room and the bar was very nice and served decent food, even for us vegans! Would recommend a stay here :)"

"Fabulous property , the rooms have been done to a very high standard . Gorgeous bathroom and facilities are great too . The mini bar was a nice touch as was the complimentary ice cream . Best hairdryer I’ve ever used , lovely fluffy bathrobes , I could go on…"

"Our room was clean but very basic and small. The bathroom has been recently updated and everything works great, including plenty of hot water. The parking is especially spacious for Wales! Restaurant food is typical pub food, tasty, generous portions and served piping hot. Friendly staff. Nothing fancy here, but good value for the money."

"Reception staff were lovely, the room was spotlessly clean single room perfect for my needs, free wifi plenty of power sockets and lights, one of the nicest beds I have ever slept in! Lovely cooked Welsh breakfast plus plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurt and cereal choices Really enjoyed my stay and will definitely book again"

"We loved our stay here. You could instantly tell that the owners cared about the place and want you to have a good stay. Andrea was really lovely and helpful with local recommendations and cooked an amazing breakfast."
