"Stayed many times over the 3 years my son has been at UEA.
Normally very good.
Unfortunately the most recent was a little disappointing mostly due to the room I was allocated.
I booked an executive single based on a previous stay in one of these rooms however the nicer rooms are actually only the doubles. It isn’t made very clear that an executive single purely means a slightly bigger bed. There’s nothing really executive about them (or room 15 anyway) whatsoever. In fact the room looks...
"A perfectly pleasant hotel, if a little generic, What it lacked in atmosphere as a place, was lifted by the helpful, friendly and cheerful staff, who went out of their way to make us feel at home."
"The staff were friendly and helpful without being effusive. The room was clean and spacious although there was a distinct lack of power plugs in useful places.
Breakfast was good and served promptly, as was dinner. The menu was more limited than in other places but the quality was excellent. The ambience and furnishings in the building were interesting."
"The location was great for our needs. Very clean and tidy and the staff were lovely. Very helpful. Great gym. Some of the golfers were rather noisy late into the evening and early hours of the morning but overall a very pleasant stay"
"Excellent staff committed to ensuring that the Cliff Hotel is one of the best three star hotels. Consistently good over a number of visits I have made."
"Accommodation within student campus, run well and always happy to stay here. Basic and dated but if you just looking for a no frills bed for the night then its perfect"
"A street entrance would be a great help.
I arrived at the station, disabled with a walking stick and luggage and had to walk all the way around to the back"
"The hotel is very worn in all areas - carpet dirty and coming up. Hallways are dark and dingy. The room was dirty with mold in the bathroom. No AC and the window only opened 1 inch so the room was incredibly hot despite 2 fans. The location is great but I would never stay here again. I left early to go to the Holiday Inn."
"Food was fairly decent, staff were all excellent. Nice clean room, lovely comfortable bed. Big clean bathroom.
However .....we couldn't get any of the radiators to work. When its single digits centigrade outside its time to fire up the central heating !! The room and bathroom was very cold, which put a real downer on our stay."
