"Hotel was located at a prime spot in Inveraray, lovely views and within a block of the shops. The restaurant was a bit understaffed, food was good, just be prepared to wait a bit. Room was comfortable and well stocked with tea/coffee/snacks."
"The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice, large and had everything needed. The bathroom was small but adequate, the linens were large and fluffy. The breakfast, which was extra, we felt was good for the price paid. And consisted of cold items and a menu of hot items."
"Small rooms and I did not know how to get some cool air into the space. Great management. Great bar in the place with incredible music. Works for a night. Would be hard for me to make it work longer."
"We had no issues with the property! We might have liked to know when booking that there is a bar and restaurant on site as we had dinner before we arrived!
Breakfast was a full meal and we had choices so very good! Room and bed was good and clean!"
"A really lovely place to stay in Inveraray. Very good pub and restaurant. The house whisky was so good I took home 2 bottles. There are a variety of different rooms, some in the main building others in adjacent buildings and some with spectacular views across the loch. The standalone tub was a nice amenity, which I did not have the time to enjoy."
"This hotel was in the perfect location for catching the ferry. We had dinner at the restaurant, and the food was very good. Room was large and comfortable."
"Absolutely stunning place!!! The rooms are huge, the property itself is simply breath taking. Staff are the best!!! A must-stay when visiting the highlands."
"The Dalrigh House was clean and quiet, and those qualities are important to us. However, we thought that "private bathroom" meant that it was exclusively ours. This was a misunderstanding on our part, and we don't blame the hotel for that. We left our towels in the bathroom, thinking that no one else was using it, and they were taken by housekeeping. After that, we tried to contact Dalrigh House via messages, and because we didn't receive a prompt response, we ended up having to use a single...
"The room was inexpensive so I didn't expect a lot. The room was larger than I expected but there were some maintenance issues. There was no hot water in the room so I had to go to a different room down the hall to take a shower that had an electric water heater. The light over the sink in the bathroom didn't work but there was an electric kettle with tea and coffee available. Nice people in a very old building"
"The room was so sweet. There was a trouser press and a little decorative fireplace that turned on in the evening and again in the morning. The bathroom was large and well appointed. The location was great. Incredible views. We loved our stay."
"We were met by our host at approximately 8 pm on the first night of our stay. We had provided an approximate time beforehand to help. We were then given the tour, which was extremely helpful. We loved the room - so clean and spacious with en-suite and the sea view was breathtaking. The new bath was very much welcomed, although we just used the superb walk-in shower provided during our stay. There were nice additional touches in the room, e.g. some whiskey to sample, tooth picks, cotton...
"We picked this place because it had excellent ratings. My experience was:
Very difficult to unload car on an incredibly tight road. I had a heated row with a local resident who was very aggressive. The parking which was at a public viewing point was up a steep hill about 400 meters away. The bathroom was not cleaned well with unpleasant marks in the toilet, dusty bin lids etc. cobwebs and dirt on window. House was run down and very outdated. Walk into town was about 12 minutes down steep...
"The staff was friendly and the food at the in-house restaurant was very good. The condition of the room was good enough and clean, but everything from the doors, bed, bathroom and more was incredibly old and left some to be desired in terms of upkeep. I felt the pictures of the rooms online were rather deceiving. The location of the property though was fantastic with beautiful views."
