"Excellent staff and the property is reminiscent of a resort more so than a hotel/stay. Access to beach is extremely easy, attached to the backside of the property, though the beachfront is not 'developed' or 'set up' so do not expect a resort-like sun-chair set up. Excellent location if you want to be away from the hustle bustle of puerto viejo, but still biking distance to get to all the shops and cafes. Fabiano at the front desk, and Rosita for breakfast service, were both absolute delights and extremely helpful :)"

"This is a jungle lodge of sorts, with all the bugs and heat that come with it. No AC, and you’ll need. But notwithstanding the discomforts ( they really should invest in screens so patrons can at least open the windows at night and get that Caribbean flow), this place offers unique experiences. Many wild agoutis wander the grounds, and there’s a charming jungle path to a private beach nearby. Breakfast included."

"Wonderful site in the midst of the jungle at seafront. Beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, exciting experience. Nice beach, but not well maintained, maybe because of the season? (beginning of June). Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff and very good meals."
