"Good Britannia Hotel in the center of Manchester. Room clean and tidy. A little bit dated in places but ok. We where is room 44 and there is a white noise all the time which is quite loud "

"Easy check in experience, rooms and bathroom were clean. Very close to the terminals and a good quiet nights sleep. Parking was a surcharge of £25 a night. So bear this in mind if you’ve booked into Manchester airport parking as it might be cheaper to adjust the days in the airport parking. "

"We stayed to go to the cricket stadium to see Foo Fighters. Four stops on the tram from the nearby Barton Dock Road tramstation followed by a fairly short walk. We got back by 11.30pm so were able to have a drink in the bar. They needed more staff on the bar on a busy night like that. Breakfast was very good. Bed very comfortable and room on top floor was quiet. I would stay there again. "

"This was more like a hotel room in America meaning it was bigger. It did not have a fridge or microwave but did offer a continental breakfast. The room and bathroom was clean. We'd stay again."

"Starting with the positives, every member of staff we encountered was exceptionally helpful and great to deal with. The restaurant food was very good, and although the dinner menu was unimaginative, everything was beautifully cooked and good to eat. Breakfast was also lovely. "I was booked a taxi from the hotel to take me to Wilmslow Station. I maybe wrong but i would like to know how much the taxi fare is from hotel to station. I fear the driver altered the meter reading from £8.40 to £13. Therefore, if i was ripped off then should the hotel be using such a company.I did challenge the price later that day and have since called a few days later. They are telling me the driver was correct in his pricing... i was surprised because when i mentioned it on Sunday.....

"We enjoyed our stay at Alma lodge hotel, staff were polite and friendly .the room was spacious and spotless and tea and coffee facilities were in the room. The bed was fairly comfortable but a bit on the small side for my 6ft 2 husband. The only downside was after travelling for several hours to get there ,checking in at 3pm we were informed the restaurant was closed and we were unable to have any food even though afternoon tea and sandwiches was advertised.
