"Check in was quick and welcoming. Parking was not an issue as I travelled by train, but there was a large car park. There was a nice seating area in addition to the restaurant.
I did have a tile missing in the bathroom and the edge of the carpet was very dirty - not been hoovered for ages.

"The property is unique stairs are narrow but there is a lift. Breakfasts are good but what a performance to pay for them.Breakfasts should be included in price like most establishments.Nice touch to offer a free drink in exchange for not servicing room."
"It was good value, but over the bridge from the town centre and another 8 minutes walk. Breakfast was generous, but the time had to be pre- booked at reception Room was a slim 1st floor challet.During restaurant hours you hear the clatter of saucepans and drone of exaust fans. Not a problem if your heading out for the day / evening."
"A quaint old fashioned inn. Amenities a bit dated but all functioning. Bath with jets was a plus. Loved the provision of bottled water and little biscuits. Breakfast was a lovely continental affair. Only downside was the winding staircases that made taking luggage up and down difficult."

"Crazy tight parking, witnessed one lady crawling through the hatch to get to the driving seat to get her car out.
Short staffed, service was slow at the restaurant, took 45 minutes to get a drink, and no they were not busy just untrained people.
Young Chef at breakfast had a bad attitude, slamming down dishes and cutlery, completely put me and family off of breakfast.
Good location for walking the town of Shrewsbury, and the bus station is next door, so you don't have to unwedge your car from...
"The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places."
"The room was clean, staff nice enough , food ok, but generally the whole place was a bit grubby and the smell of old cooking oil a bit off putting when you walked in. The outside could do with some help generally and some real tlc. Yes parking good and dog friendly with some quiet lanes round the back to walk the dog in a pretty village and very interesting church yard."

Simon and Vanessa are fantastic people who care about their clients as do their charming staff.
Food is freshly prepared and is very good.
