"I’ve stayed in the Hex home many times now. I love visiting the Yorkshire Wildlife Park & try to go for a couple of days at a time. Staying on the site is ideal.
The hotel is comfortable with everything you would expect. If you have a room overlooking the park you can often watch the gibbons, wolves or the new penguin arrivals.
The bistro next door has a good buffet breakfast to set you up for a lot of walking in YWP.

"Having paid 108 pounds for a budget hotel for one night when i got to the hotel i was told parking was 8.95 for 1 night, there was no tea and coffee making facilities in the room, i paid extra for breakfast there was no cooked breakfast ( very disappointing ) and coffee was an extra 1.95 . A quite basic budget hotel with quite a few add extra prices, overall it was quite a disappointing hotel. The only thing about the hotel that was good was the location but dont think ill be using it again"

Whilst carrying things from the car to the hotel in the rain, we had lost a teddy and blanket in the car park. Not only did someone kindly hand them in, but the hotel staff cleaned them as well. So kind."
"Central location, but outdated, dirty, and very disappointing stay
While the location was central, the room/bed were large, the bathroom was modern, and the Wi-Fi was strong, the negatives completely ruined our stay.
The hotel smelled stale upon arrival. Staff were unwelcoming and gave no info on Wi-Fi or dining. We booked a double but got a twin. The room had ancient furniture, a TV angled at the floor, a dirty mini-fridge, a limescale-filled kettle, filthy windows with cobwebs/feathers, and...
"The staff were easily the best part of my stay, so friendly and helpful.
No plug sockets near the bed.
The tv signal kept dropping.
Bed was fine.
Bath was slow draining.
Stay was a lot quieter than I was expecting."
"We stayed for one night and had a very pleasant experience. The front desk staff was polite and very helpful.Our room was clean and a good size, with a comfortable bed and strong Wi-Fi. Breakfast was simple with fresh pastries and coffee, but tasty. The location is central and close to town Centre.For the price, this hotel offers great value and We would stay here again."
"Very basic, but if you want a bright, clean room, a comfortable bed, and a decent shower - it’s perfect. It’s not glamorous, but it’s perfectly functional. Very good heating / air-con too. Much better than many non-budget hotels I’ve stayed at."
