"We were in Cairns for a dive trip and stayed for a night before the trip as well as a night after the trip. The hotel had everything we needed. It was close to some Restaurants (Tandoori Nights 👍) and a 'Friendly Grocer". There is a key drop-off at the front for early check-out.
(Important info: the ceiling fan can be operated via a small black knob attached to a kind of light switch plate somewhere in the room. Ours was hidden behind a nightstand)"
"We have stayed here before and will do again. It is very reasonably priced for a city centre hotel and, although the rooms are a bit dated, they are clean and perfectly adequate for a night or two. The reception staff are always welcoming, friendly and helpful and we enjoy being able to walk to the esplanade in just a few minutes."
"This place seem to be housing vulnerable aboriginal women and their children. I believe there was a contract with local government to house vulnerable people. It is not appropriate to be using the accommodation for both social housing and for holiday accommodation. It is under new management and whilst the current staff were trying to be helpful it is clear that the systems in place are currently on hold whilst they make the changes they need to turn a profit in the future.. "Fan switch was broken, so it was almost impossible to change it or turn it off. Photo of property in Expedia was very misleading, in terms of location, surroundings and how everything seemed new or polished within the room. Not enough cups, plates and no screens for windows to stop bugs. Again, very misleading. Properties must be shown as they are."
"it's an oldish style hotel we were happy with location and it had everything we needed for our stay. Bathrooms are tired but hey as i said we were here for a basketball tournament not a tropical vacation."

The room was clean and tidy and equipped with basic cooking facilities which we didn't expect.
Aspect Central is on a very busy road but the room we were in was relatively quiet during the night. I'm a light sleeper but I slept well."
"The room was clean and tidy, hotel was close to esplanade , the bathroom was a bit dated. Not a large pool but a nice area including BBQ. Overall good value for the price, We would be happy to stay again when in Cairns next time"
"It was clean. But the lights in the compound were bright and stayed on all night. The curtain did not close that out. There was no bedside light, only one fluoro, not operable from bed. No USB plug for charging. It was noisy from traffic, and with drunk people outside the compound but right at the back of my room. They were shouting among themselves until about 11, and then again from 6 am on.
There was a code to the compound, but a hole in the plexiglass below, allowing access to the innner...
"This place is seriously beautiful, stylish yet relaxed.
So clean, and the staff were just amazing & helpful.
Well worth the stay.
Note, the entire hotel & property is smoke free, that includes out doors on your patio.
And there is no onsite parking."
