"I grew up in MN and had never been to Grand View Lodge. Decided to take my husband "up north" to experience the vibe, and GVL was the best way to introduce him to that! We had a wonderful stay at the newer hotel-type property. Room was well decorated, bed very comfortable, great coffee bar and lobby to enjoy so we did not have to leave the building in the morning for our daily coffee. "We shared a cabin with 2 families. The cabin was new, clean and very comfortable. The beach was fun for the us, we used canoes, paddles boards and swam out to the dock. We did the little hike around the lake (maybe 25 minutes) and walked down for a fun snack at Zorbas. The equipment at the beach could have been in better shape, basketball hoop was missing etc. But overall, a great stop for a few nights."

"We had a very peaceful, serene stay. The pan fishing from the dock was great and the sunsets were amazing. The grounds outside would benefit from trimming overgrownn shrubs and irradicating poison ivy. We'd be concerned about the poison ivy if we had children or a dog with us. The management was friendly and helpful. We were concerned about access as it is not easily accessable for loading and unloading and were allowed to get closer to do so."
