"Dean’s Court was lovely. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The sites of York were within easy reach of city sites. Would highly recommend a stay here!"

"Property was excellent value for money, a short walk outside York city centre. Room was more than adequate, clean and spacious with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was full English with possibly the largest piece of black pudding I've seen. The bar is well stocked and we ate there on our first night, food was good and reasonably priced. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Light Horseman and it will be top of our list for our next stop in the city."

"Lovely hotel Lovely and helpful staff.Only one small complaint.No glasses in the bathroom to rinse your mouth ,and only one towel in a twin bedded room.Also no telephone in case you have an emergency.Other than that a great stay at the hotel."

Perfectly situated for the coast, we visited Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay and whitby; and for York and Harrogate. Would definately stay here again if we find ourselves in that part of the country again!!"

The breakfast room was very nice and the table in the window bay was special. Our room was spacious, and the kitchen amenities were complete. There was a small table where we could sit looking on the back garden. The bathroom was also spacious and well done. The decor in the condition of everything was amazing given the age of the building....
