"PROS: The staff were great & gave nice dining recommendations, got us a taxi. Very walkable area, close to restaurants /shops. Breakfast croissants are delish! Room was comfortable and spacious. The bed was 2 twins put together. It was cool enough to not use the A/c but it was good to have in case. There is a fridge with free bottled water. The balcony view was spectacular. "A beautiful property a few minutes walk from Montalcino city wall. The views are spectacular and our apartment was clean and furnished beautifully. There was nothing more we could have needed. "Small room with very hard uncomfortable bed & pillows. Bathroom OK. Hotel is new but is situated between a main road & a train line so nowhere is really quiet. There was grit on the floor but otherwise clean. The girl who initially received us was very grumpy. "

The staff were really friendly and relaxed, the room in the main building was fine, the grounds are magnificent, the swimming pool massive and the restaurant superb. Only two small gripes. There was a terrble smell in the middle of one night and some construction traffic early in the morning at a site well behind the hotel was a bit noisy but I would still recommend this hotel. It's also in a great position for getting to Siena, Massa and the rest...
