"great breakfast, great location"

"The staff were unable to provide a table in the restaurant for dinner even though tables in the breakfast area were free. At breakfast we were asked whether we would like any cooked eggs, one of the party asked for an omelette and the staff refused to do it. The breakfast was very limited. You have to go outside to some of the rooms at which point you find the only storage is two bedside drawers big enough for a book. There was no wardrobe or hangers to store clothes. Over all extremely disappointed and would not recommend."

"Good location for the Pentland ferry from Gill’s Bay, about 20 mins. Lovely food, our room on the ground floor was great, small but adequate.Parking also adequate."

"Our bedroom was modern and clean with blue tartan soft furnishings. We slept well, breakfast and the optional dinner was tasty and the portions good. At each stage we were served by Theresa, a very hard manager. In summary a great hotel at the very north of mainland Britain."

"It worked for an overnight stop and certainly a friendly greeting, with a good intro to the area and amenities. Room was okay and breakfast very good being personally delivered to your room. Only downside is if you have a bit of a phobia about cleanliness thus may not be the place for you, otherwise all okay for us. "
