"You get what you pay for
We stayed at the Laguna Hotel. The location was okay — far enough out of town that you didn’t get all the noise and bustle, but still close enough to walk into Bournemouth or get an uber. Personally we used it as a base to go to Sandbanks beach every day.
The room was small, but that was fine for us. The bathroom had a shower with okay water pressure, as well as a toilet and sink. Unfortunately, the hotel itself felt very tired, run-down and uncared for.

"Stayed prior to a cruise. Great location. Really comfortable and clean room. Nice breakfast buffet with good variety. One elevator was out of service during our stay which made things a bit painful considering the number of guests at the hotel."
"The staff where excellent and very welcoming and helpful and always smiling but the maintenance of the hotel is very run down not clean and very old decor the carpets needed a good clean or hoover and the windows are very dirty

"Hotel is a little dated. No proper air conditioning in rooms, only a small portable unit. All the staff are very attentive excellent service. Was disappointed that they charge for parking £15 per night. Off street parking is readily available though."
"The hotel was an oasis after our flights in from the US. They had an excellent dinner & breakfast in the hotel, so we didn't have to hunt something up before heading to Portsmouth for our cruise. It was within walking distance of Southampton Common, for a nice walk as well."
"It was a fairly basic hotel for the price and it felt quite budget. What really put us off is that the luggage storage system and retrieval is not safe and secure at all. Anyone can come and give your room number and pick up your luggage"
"We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Chilworth Manor while visiting Stonehenge, Avebury Stones, and Salisbury Cathedral. The property was once a manor and has evolved into a comfortable, well-maintained hotel, with substantial grounds and walking trails. The trails could use better upkeep.

"For a 3 star hotel i found it to be perfectly good for my short 3 night stay, the staff were, friendly & approachable, they handled all my requests with ease
& my room was clean & tidy when I was handed the key with all the appliances in perfect working order. Even though the room could have used some fixing up in areas

"We stayed in what Hall & Woodhouse call an "Indulgence with seaview" room. Yes, it had a fabulous view across to the Needles on the Isle of Wight.

The hotel’s location is excellent, very close to the beach and train station. The room was also a good size and comfortable enough for two adults and two children.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness was very disappointing. The carpet had a strong, unpleasant smell, and the curtains were extremely dirty and clearly in need of cleaning.
