"Lovely old style hotel.You must request a downstairs room when booking if you can't carry your luggage upstairs as there is no male assistant. Breakfast was included and was excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful. "

"Super clean historic house converted to a really nice, informal hotel. They offer breakfast and have a bar for drinks. Central location and friendly staff. Easy to get to restaurants, shops, pubs and public transport. Not sure about parking as we travelled by train. The property has no lift to the upper floors, but reception staff will help with luggage, and you can ring reception from the room. Robust WiFi signal, air con and windows that actually open. "Room was clean and air conditioning was comfortable."

"Everything was fine. The hotel is close to the train station (2 minute amble) which has all the local bus stops outside. There's an Asda and Lidl on either side of the station and the main shopping strip (with restaurants and nightspots) is a five minute walk down the hill. The only suggestion for improvement is to add some salad to the hot breakfast area, as sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs every day can be a bit dull."

"Rooms were amazing But a little hot during the night. This is with the radiator turned off. For the price of food you would expect more on your plate. Drinks prices are more then London prices. Glass of wine pint of beer and a whisky and coke £29. Get the same drinks over the rd for £10"
