"I cannot fault the Moxy Plymouth. I booked it because of it's proximity to the Arena and the price so was anticipating that it would probably be a bit below par. I was however extremely pleasantly surprised. The staff were excellent. The room was great, stylish and very clean. The bed was large and comfortable. The complimentary house cocktail was a nice touch. We decided to pay extra for a breakfast and had a superb unlimited choice of hot and continental items. I would highly recommend...
"Arrived and allocated room and put all our luggage in room only to be treated by bathroom being flooded from above. This should have been checked prior to check in. We were allocated a new room but no compensation for the hassle caused after a long day of travel."
"Lovely old hotel with character ideally situated on the sea front,we had a superior room with small balcony to sit out on to enjoy the great views . Good size car park at very reasonable price. Excellent buffet breakfast. We had two 3 course evening meals, beautifully cooked, good service. Rooms a little dated, smallish bathroom but had everything needed. All the staff were cheery, friendly and helpful --we had a problem with the TV, the receptionist came up and sorted it straightaway. A very...
"For the price the hotel was great. Our room was ok but the shower did not work properly and nothing was done when I reported it. I’m assuming this was because the hotel was closing after our visit. Also parking at the location was very limited and unless you were aware that you had to prebook a space, you had to park on the street which was also very limited. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would have stayed there again but as it’s now closed this is not to be."
"Hotel does need some maintenance doing, our room had some damp in a patch in corner. flakey paint on wall in bathroom. At breakfast there was a bulb going in the main light which was flashing all the time we were having breakfast. Fire exit handle was broken in restaurant and fire extinguisher needs looking at.
Food at breakfast was very nice 👍"
"Brilliant hotel with many things to keep the family entertained. Great breakfast. Room could do with some updating but location brilliant too. Would definitely stay again."
"The room was adequate and comfortable for a two night stay, and although rated as a superior room, the photos are somewhat misleading (no easy chairs and table, let alone any space for any, as shown when booking).
The breakfast selection was good, as was the overall dining experience, although we did find one of the main evening courses of poor quality. To the credit of the hotel they waived the cost of the dish without any hesitation or question, so full credit on that score.
The drinks...
