"This place is well worth the money, staff are really friendly and efficient, the food is really good and it is very clean throughout. To be fair though the rooms could do with being updated decor and furniture wise but nothing that effects your stay"

"Hotel is central. Bed is small for two and you hear noise for the other rooms."

"Clean + friendly staff + good for families "

"Great hotel 10-15 minute walk into the centre. Generous sized rooms. Breakfast was great and lots of choices. Great value for money."

"Location"

"Lovely stay! Very convenient"

"Very good stay at this hotel great location to York Centre everything within easy walking distance. "Beautiful accommodation. Friendly staff. Great price including a wonderful breakfast."

"Clean property with friendly staff."

"Old Swan Hotel Marvellous - We found this hotel very charming. Upon arriving, the reception lady was very welcoming and friendly. We booked an Executive Suite - great value for money. Suite was very clean and very spacious. However, does need updating as no aircon, no USB plus sockets and furniture very dated. Dining room very beautiful, staff friendly and breakfast delicious. Beautiful lounge areas to relax in. Would I stay again - absolutely. Would I recommend - absolutely."

"Great VFM access to city centre and the station was good."

"The hotel had a 'run down' feeling and we were disappointed that there was no breakfast on offer."
