"Food was excellent, whether breakfast or dinner there were so many choices and all we had were delicious. All the staff were encountered were friendly, helpful and efficient. The Sunday dinner we had on arrival was best we'd had out in a long time. Our room was enormous, bed was so comfortable so no problems sleeping. Lovely thick carpet. Bathroom was beautifully warm. "Room was in the roof far too noisy not very clean around carpet rug edges especially at side & back of bed under table years of dust sadly .Noisy Hotel inside as well lots of people sharing rooms as people where knocking on doors to be let into rooms throughout the three nights we stayed hastent to add we got NO sleep what so ever & made us feel unwell pleased to come home . Staff were OK but not over helpful when Alarms for smoke detectors kept also going off on rooms near us also alarms going...

"Hotel did not inform me that all roads leading to the hotel in a rather large radius would be closed on the night of my arival. There was no communication of alternative parking arrangements. When I arrived and explained calmly that I was not a happy customer I was given excuses. Apparently they are unable to contact me because I booked through expedia. "The Hampton at Newcastle is literally across the road from the main train Station and Metro, so that is a big bonus. The Hotel Room was very good and tea/coffee facilities in room. Staff were most helpful and very pleasant. Idea and no complaints."

"unlike many other hotels that arose from a series of converted houses this hotel has made a really good job of converting an entire strip of houses. We did not have breakfast as it was way too expensive so went out to Caffe Nero around the corner. We booked graduation night for next month at the same time. Parking was difficult, despite getting a ticket from the Hotel to put onto the dashboard of the car."

"As many have said, this is a dated hotel with a very 1970s feel. We stayed on a Friday night as we had an early flight the next day, and the car park was very busy (as was the bar, so we ended up eating in a side room). The food was actually pretty good.
