"We booked a suite as we were staying 3 weeks. Room was clean, and functional and loved all the extra space and 2 TV'S. The room was a bit dated. Bed was spring mattress..no topper, but had no issues sleeping. Carpet was a bit stained, but was kept clean from housekeeping. Has a small issue with toilet not flushing properly, but was fixed by the time we returned to our room. Housekeeping staff were top notch, and assisted with anything we requested right away. "Arrived and met by friendly staff. However on entering the room could clearly see room was dated and requires an overhaul. Brown carpet - stained and dirty in many areas. Furniture chipped and dated. Bed extremely uncomfortable and mattress topper has been added however mattress had fold in the middle and lumps - very uncomfortable. Curtain are not blackout and office opposite has digital adverts going all night so constant flashing of lights through curtains. Bath - which we paid extra for full...

"Hoped to stay in old part, not quite the same atmosphere in newer section! Toilet was dirty and mud on floor on arrival. Ordered cheese pasty and got a meat one! Too late to change. Fish and chips were excellent, small portion plenty for each of us. A lovely place to stay, recommend read Daphne DuMauriers book. Great position to explore both coast lines. "
