We were able to check our bags for free in the morning, spend the day out touring, then grab our bags and hop on a train to the next city that evening. Super easy. We also paid for the lounge access - which includes tea time drinks/snacks, evening snacks and alcoholic beverages, and a special breakfast - all in a room with a nice view of the city. "Great hotel, will stay again. They have a coin operated laundry that uses 100 yen coins. The front desk does not give change, unless you buy a water. They need to give change for their laundry, it is called customer service. "
