We loved the experience of slippers on arrival, yukata robe for dinner, futons transforming our tatami room to a bedroom, traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. "We were extremely well taken care of and enjoyed experiencing a more traditional stay. The location was excellent. The service, especially Hurumi were lovely and attentive. The chef did an amazing job making two incredible dinners for us. We loved the roof top bar. "
"The hotel was really close to the Ferry Terminal and we were able to drop our bags and head off quickly to see the sites. Restaurants close early on the island so eat around 5-6pm. Staying overnight lets you go up the ropeway at 9am before the day crowds hit (they are substantial). We went over on the JR Ferry and came back on the fast boat to the Hiroshima Peace Park. The Ropeway is excellent. Hotel breakfast is very good. "

"Lovely food, traditional experience. Landlord is very kind and generous. Note that it is about a 20 minute walk from the ferry. Not terrible but if you're bringing bags it's a shlep! Cabs are in short supply on the island so I would definitely recommend leaving your main bag in Hiroshima and bringing just an overnight bag for your stay."
