"Charming hotel with very accommodating staff. We were able to check in early. Thank you. Our room in the older section of the hotel needed some TLC - vinyl floor in the bathroom in particular. Nice, full breakfast"

"Cosy, quiet, comfy beds and in a great location"

"Breakfast was good and the lady tending it was very sweet. Front desk staff was very rude. Pretty bad first impression. Also — really looking forward to the hot tub and but again front desk staff had no idea what I was talking about despite it being listed as an amenity on the website. Kinda rots after a long hike on Hadrians wall. Carpeting throughout was old, outdated, and very grungie. Overall, very mid."

"Currently as on the beginning of Nov 2026 there is no availability for EV charging The rest is Ibis standard"

However, as many other reviewers have mentioned, this is not a quiet hotel. "Booked the stay as a present for my parents and they really enjoyed their stay. They noted the food, friendliness and rooms as their highlights and things that made their stay great. The next trip to Penrith will definitely be stayed at the Agricultural Inn."

"We always ask for a river view and it was greatly appreciated"

"Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff Comfortable restaurant with excellent food."

"Great room, bed, air conditioning and general vibe. Would return happily"

"A very clean and well equipped room - limited parking but perfectly adequate - disappointing lack of breakfast - rice crispies and cormflakes don't do it! Very good dinner and bar facilities"

"Decent sized double room with better than usual lighting! Really comfortable bed and good shower, albeit on the small side! Off road free parking is always a bonus and they do a full breakfast if required! Everyone very friendly!!"

"Room clean and beautifully decorated. Warm, lovely hot shower, large fluffy towels. Staff friendly and helpful. Well positioned in the town and good parking."

"Lovely friendly, helpful staff, comfy beds, a great breakfast and a nice atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. Building interior is a bit dated."

"Clean room fantastic refurbished rooms with great staff and a proper English breakfast"

"The setting was lovely n tranquil but dirty windows obscured maybe due to it becoming winter, lovely walks, if you didn't want to eat in it was a nice lil hamlet to explore."

"The staff were very helpful, the room clean and the bed comfortable."
