"A warm reception received upon arrival followed by an easy swift check in. The room was of a good standard bearing in mind the good value price paid. The room was clean with a noticeable smell of bleach suggesting the place is frequently cleaned."

"I stay away a lot for work and have seen it all from roll top baths in the bedroom to hundreds of condom wrappers under the bed (afterwards finding out the room was hourly rented 🤔😳) but this place is good for the money, was super toasty when I got there and was fully acceptable for my purposes. "Very tatty, filthy and stained carpets in public areas. Dismal, flickering lights in corridors. Badly repaired hole in bathroom door. Holes in dressing table surfaces. No aircon so had to leave window open, which is just above the very noisy aircon machinery for the Shell garage next door."

"It's not the Ritz, but is clean, comfy and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Plenty of parking and it's quiet, being set back from the main A6. The hotel is being gradually refurbished and it does need it as the decor is very dated. You can tell that it was previously a Premier Inn. It was reasonably priced for one night. I didn’t frequent the attached pub so can't comment on food quality. "
