"The hostel is cozy, located close to the lake, and within a short drive or a hike from Scafell. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. There is also a kitchen which can be used to cook your own food. The staff are all very friendly."

"I arrived after 5pm and had not realised Sykes cottages were dealing with the property. It took me two hours to get in because of email issues and also no one to get hold of after hours from Sykes. This needs looking into.
The property itself was well worth the hassle I had been through and I will definitely go back for a second visit. It was clean and very quiet. Only issue was recycling I didn’t know what went where. Maybe a sheet telling you what to do. But apart from this would recommend."
"We stayed for 3 nights with my family. Property doesn't look the same as shown in the ads. As soon as enerered can smell the odd linen smell. Covered with lot of house flies dead and alive, big spiders atleast 10 i spotted live, kids screamed every time. The carpets are full of dog hairs not cleaned at all. We thought of cleaning ourselves with the hoover, but the hoover made us sick with its disgusting flithy smell. One of the toilets was dirty on entry, one of the shower rooms is blocked and...
