"Lovely unusual place to stay, the room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. There are jo staff on site which is fine but I did need to ask someone something so I phoned the emergency tel number that was on the into board but noone answered and noone got back to me. I do think if you are going to run a no staff hotel you do need someone to be available at the end of the emergency phone number. "

"Fairly large room, good view of the town, central location. Plenty of tea, coffee, milk, kettle in room. even an iron and ironing board. The TV was small but worked well. Access is via a long staircase over 3 floors pending on which room you get, best to travel light or it can be bit of a haul. We have used ML lodge before and would use it again, its great value for money. One tip, lock your door from inside/outside as it does not lock automatically on closure to avoid unexpected interruptions...

"The bed was really comfy. The room, including the carpet, was very clean. The decor is a bit tired in places (faded curtains and tatty bathroom). The TV is tiny. There was no floor towel in the bathroom so ask for one when you check in."
