"What an outstanding find. Before we left i had a text from the property checking in our arrival time and after I responded we were wished safe travels. The room was clean and had a view of the rock and the ocean. Everything was within walking distance and made the trip even better. "Silver Surf Motel was okay for a short stay, but a bit underwhelming overall. My room appeared to have been recently renovated, and the décor and finishes were tasteful. I was disappointed, however, that the room did not have a tub. The mattress was also softer than I prefer, and I woke up with a minor backache. The property itself could really use some updating. Outside areas looked neglected and dated, and the walls were paper-thin — I could easily hear noise from neighboring rooms and people...

"We arrived late (after 9pm) so had to call the night manager to come and give us our room keys. She answered and arrived promptly. To be fair, I missed the small print that said to call ahead if you would be arrive after 9pm. So just be aware to make arrangements if you'll be arriving after 9pm. Parking was secure but a bit difficult for larger vehicles or late night arrivals as it was limited and in tight spaces. The rooms were of decent size and the beds were comfortable enough. "Stayed two nights. Very comfortable room and easy parking. Close drive to downtown. Housekeeping was good but the 1st day they left our pile of used towels inside our room by the door! It would help if they took care of some minor issues that were noticable on a regular basis, like scratches on the wall from chairs...easy to just touch up, stain on a curtain and one threadbare washcloth with holes worn through. However nothing that would keep us from staying again."
