"Double bed opening onto the garden was nice. Three suggestions for improvement: 1. Four steps from bed up to bathroom. Would be helpful to have a handrail up those steps, especially for elderly and/or in the dark. 2. Heat was off, but plug-in heater does not work (makes noise, but no output) so nights were chilly. 3. Phone reception is poor. Had to step into the garden at night to make a call. Any chance of improving?"

"Usually use Prem Inn but prices are getting ridicules, found Kingfisher Bard, first class, reasonable price and breakfast included not like Prem Inn, £9.50 extra for continental brekkie. Definitely use again."

"Excellent service and friendly helpful staff. Excellent location, right next to the train station, plenty of free parking. Hotel was clean and warm despite it being freezing. Our room didn’t have an en suite and had to access our private bathroom across the corridor. Room was cosy, a little old fashion in decor but added to the charm. I would definitely return and recommend. "

"Very comfortable stay. Room for 4 was very clean and comfortable. Nice friendly atmosphere in the pub. Staff very friendly. Reasonably priced. Menu is limited to burgers. However, the burgers are excellent!! Breakfast was lovely and half pricer if staying over."

"Elegant location with very comfortable bedroom and highly modernized bathroom. Pleasant view of the grounds. Entrance is via the East lodge to the left when facing the main entry. Uber does not exist in Oxford, but there are taxi services that can be called such as Royal taxi and 101 taxi."

"The property is not as described. It’s a room in a house with shared facilities throughout. Amenities are few with no basics in the room such as a radio or TV. The property listing said ‘pillow menu’. Hmm. The room I had looked nothing like the photos and upon arrival, I checked out the room, and bathroom, and decided to leave. I booked a room elsewhere instead and did not complete my stay. The 10 x emails, 4 x text messages and 1 x phone call all regarding the booking is excessive and...

"We had a wonderful stay at Yew Tree House. The suite was a mini home from home, the decor was lovely and the furnishings stylish and extremely comfortable, especially the king-size bed, all in all everything you need. We received a really warm welcome from our host Pauline, who had a wealth of knowledge about Woodstock and the surrounding area, and nothing was too much for her, thank you. We will return with our friends."
