Just some minor things that comes with an older building (example: room lights turned off when hair dryer plugged in with ac unit running).
However, it was quickly resolved within 5 mins!!

"We’ve stayed at Driftwood before, and we enjoy it. It’s a modest motel without a lot of flashy fancies, but it’s clean and the rooms are nice with a beautiful view of Lake Huron."
"Staff at the front counter were beyond rude. Yelling at us when we asked for more towels for the pool. Walking away from us when we asked a question. Then asked for a manager and they flat out refused. Also while staying there another guest who was battling cancer and doing treatment told us that while checking in, the woman told her she looked much older than her husband and made comments on her appearance"
"Rustic, but very cute and clean. The temperature in the room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean had everything we needed. The area was quiet and it looked like the common areas and restaurants were more updated and had a nice fire pit. We stayed just one night on the way to a soccer game in Petoskey."

"The property was poorly maintained and the desk attendant couldn’t give us a map to the room. We had to drive around and enter through a side door. The key didn’t work at the door, but we found the door actually didn’t lock or fully shut, so we got in the building. The room smelled musty and was very humid. "Cute renovated motel rooms. There was a vintage Magic Chef cookstove that had working burners, there were pots and dishes so we could cook our corn on the cob dinner. Quiet, safe location. Only small thing is that there is a window air conditioner, so if you sleep in the bed by the window then it blows all night right on or over you. If the weather is cooler, this would not be relevant. Bathroom is small but everything works including the shower, good water pressure. Great for an overnight...
