"This resort has seen better days! Most of the structures are older and have not been kept in good repair. Wood decking around pool area is coming loose and is hazardous. Pool itself needs repairs. Rooms are more rustic but have modern combo locks on dorrs. our lock malfunctioned, so we were upgraded to the deluxe "house". "The folks at Green Sanctuary are lovely and efficient. The young woman who greeted us at 6pm was helpful and kind. Breakfast was amazing!!! I had the Tico Special and it was huge and delicious. "Checkin was at 1pm, the manager arriver around 4pm. The hotel was empty on high season. Pool was very dirty (water was green). No breakfast was included and rooms were very dirty (spider webs and dust).Manager was friendly and gave us a room but it felt unsafe, hotel was abandonded and had to leave early next morning. "

"Great small place to get away. Close to beach but will need to drive to get anywhere else. The on-site chef is AMAZING! Best 2 and 3 meals we ate while all over in CR for 2 weeks. Only downside is no A/C which made the nights a bit less comfortable in high summer."

"Gorgeous, off the beaten path place with excellent food options for breakfast and lunch. Sleeping in the tent was a lot of fun, there are a lot of activities offered, a private path to the beautiful beach, and a family-oriented atmosphere. My one and only complaint is that the tent definitely had some mold growing on it. Otherwise everything was very clean, but it did make me a little squeamish sleeping in this space."

"Nous n'avons pas du tout séjourné à l'hôtel parce qu'ils avaient un problème d'eau. Ils nous ont reconduit vers un autre motel et heureusement car nous avons découvert quand nous sommes arrivés qu'il était placé à côté d'une piste d'atterrissage. "It was good if you need a place to crash on the cheap and aren't in the room much. I was spending all my days exploring, relaxing at the beach, and morning and evening yoga class. It was really nice to have a full fridge and stove. Room is really big. Curtains are sheer which I kinda thought was weird for evening privacy."

This was much bigger and better with a full kitchen, and was further from the main road which meant it was quieter. staying in units near the road would be very loud. Staff was friendly & helpful and they have a lot of regular activities which would make this place better suited to a younger crowd. included salsa dancing, reggae or disco dance nights, etc. Food is average for the area. resort is a little isolated compared to both Guiones and Pelada beaches. Good, quiet business center. couldnt find 1 spoon in the large common kitchen. pretty basic."
