"We had an enjoyable 5-night stay at the Port Gaverne Hotel. The service was excellent and the food was very good. We enjoyed the variety of offerings at breakfast and the Sunday Roast. This is not "pub food." This is an old hotel and be advised that the rooms are small and up steep stairs, although the staff helped with luggage. We were there during a heat wave and there is no air conditioning, which is typically not needed. The bed was comfortable and the bedding lovely. The location...

"The property was in a good location for the beach. It was very clean and comfortable. The parking was tight and it should be made clearer that there may not be enough spaces to park a car."

"Paid extra for early check in had all the emails to say I’d paid and was told they had no record of us paying and that we were too early and couldn’t be checked in yet.Was told to wait and we be called when it was ready waited 45 minutes never got a call to be told it was ready 10 minutes after we left"

"You can kinda tell it used to a hostel and all they basically did was shut the bar and swap the bunkbeds out for cheap doubles to try and remarket themselves as a hotel. Cleaners were brilliant and friendly but it all needs a facelift."
