"No issues with the Marina Inn but it’s so sad to see the surrounding areas at the San Leandro in such poor condition. While I understand this is in no way the fault of the hotel chain, I would think the SL City Council would get it together to try and improve the situation. The Marina has always been the jewel in the crown for the city. Sadly, no more and I hope this doesn’t deter people from patronizing the Marina Inn."

"We liked the location and convenience to move within the city. The option of a private bathroom. Disliked, the lack of thoroughness of the cleaning staff. Dusty in some general areas and there was a leftover clothing garment in our room. We didn’t notice it until the second day. The bed was a bit hard for our liking. The fire escape was pleasant to let in a breeze. Overall would recommend if you need a place to stay and will be out and about most day. "

"Beautiful place, spacious room, comfortable bed! Everything was perfect except no internet in our room. Had to go elsewhere on the property for that. Lovely property and fantastic breakfast!"

"This is a very safe and convenient hotel. Breakfast was excellent and had some different items each day. Our room was serviced every day, even though I didn’t expect it to be so that was a pleasant surprise. Downsides were that the pool apparently is not maintained and was actually closed with a health department notice so if a pool is important to you, you might want to call and confirm it’s open. The bar/bistro was also closed over the weekend and there is no alternative that is walking...

"They are renovating so there are things they are throwing away, but it is extremely unexpectedly nice for the price in the area. The staff was very kind, beds were so comfortable, and the water pressure was pretty good. Would recommend this for your star, especially on a budget."
