"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel despite it being somewhat modest, lacking a proper lobby. However, the reception from and care by India, the property manager was exceptional. I was traveling alone and India made sure all was well with me and that I made myself familiar with everything. For a modest hotel in a pricey area this was truly comfortable and hospitable! "The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The room was filthy from the start. No one came to clean our room during our stay so we had to go and request new towels and buy toilet roll. The mattress had a mysterious looking pee stain which was quickly uncovered as our bed sheet on our double bed was actually two single sheets placed horizontally (which is very uncomfortable and moves during the night). "The Hotel is at a brilliant location for ski in/out! The room was simple but functional- everything worked fine apart from the heating ( underfloor and not to regulate for us) which was too warm! There is a good skiroom with lockers! The breakfast and dinners were very good with plenty of choices for starters/ salad/ soup/ great choices for mains and cheese and wine ob tap! As the skipass was also included a really good value for money! The staff is also very nice and helpful! We will be back!"

"Perfect location right opposite the main ski lift and next door to a ski hire shop. Breakfast is good and there is a generous sized guest lounge on the top floor and ski store in the basement. The staff are friendly and helpful. We booked the last and cheapest room on the first floor , it was just above a bar which played music until 11.30 every night - fortunately we liked their playlist. "An extraordinary stop over. Although we read reviews we were not quite prepared for the ascent to the top of a 1700 m mountain ! However it was worth the climb and is not to be missed. "I stayed in Jan and we had lot of snow - probably ~60cm everywhere which was not cleaned so it was very difficult to park on the street. In this hotel I felt isolated from the town centre and cafes and shops. The hotel is very basic and my double room was tiny, too small even for a single occupant. The hot water ran out first day we came back from skiing and I had to take a cold shower after spending the whole day on snow. Great stay with the family
"Last minute booking for a ski holiday in St Gervais. 25 minute drive to the ski gondola from the hotel. Hotel staff absolutely fantastic. Lobby area lovely with the heat off the big fire, games for the kids and the smell of Vin Chaud and fresh pancakes wafting!! Rooms are an adequate size for a family of four with a fantastic view of the mountains. Plenty of fresh towels for everyone. Restaurant food very traditional and cheesy!! Delicious and very reasonably priced. Nothing negative to say about this wee gem of a hotel. Dont know why its only a two star."
