Was up the road, around the Dover area in Kent, desperately looking for a place to stay for night at a reasonable price & everything I could find was very expensive or selling out, then after hours of searching, this New Hotel came up on my Internet search! I drove to it immediately, wasn't many minutes drive, to check out if it was ok & couldn't believe my eyes! No car park, on a broad street beside row of shops & Police Station right opposite which feels safe & row of parking...
"We had a great stay here, it’s excellent value for money. Jim was a fantastic, friendly host. The breakfasts were nice, though we could have done with better vege options. The location is convenient, including proximity to bus routes and trains for exploring the area. Overall we would happily go back!"
"We booked The Bat and Ball for just 1 night as we were attending a wedding nearby. It was perfect for what we needed. Communication was great and the room was a really good size with an impressive bathroom. Fans had been put into our room and left on to ensure it was nice and cool when we arrived. The only downside was it is on a busy road so be prepared for a lot of road noise in the morning."
"The narrow and steep stairs do not give a good impression but the rooms are clean and adequate. Helpful staff and a kitchen area make it a good base. Parking is on a one way street and limited between 09.30 & 16.30 but that wss not a problem for me. Convenience store in garage on opposite side of road."
"A comfortable and convenient stay in central Margate. The whole apartment was well decorated and equipped, and was just what we needed for our evening at Dreamland.
It's above a central Margate pub, so the outside noise was to be expected. It didn't stop us from getting a decent night's rest, and all in all, great value for money. I'd happily stay here again."
"You never know what to expect when travelling somewhere new but this place is lovely, it felt like a home away from home. The small touches like the thank you card, the candle, the decor, even the garden made it feel very homely. The host was amazing, she made me feel welcome, she showed me around and was very friendly.
