"The pool area is great (9ft deep at one end!) and unique (under an attrium) but the chlorine smell in the rooms around that area is STRONG. I would have preferred that to what our other room smelled like -- the pungent odor of it being a formerly smoking room. Because the hotel is very popular and was very busy we did not request a different room as I am not sure there would have been any alternatives that just smelled neutral (like nothing) or "fresh" or whatever. Generally everything was fine...

"Don't let the exterior deter you. The rooms are quant and clean. The staff went out of their way to help out when needed. Oh and the beds were amazing!! Definitely staying there next time i am in Dubuque, Iowa"

"It is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is adequate....they no longer have a waffle maker or scrambled eggs. The swimming pool is nice, but disappointed they no longer have a hot tub."

"This property was clean and cozy. The basement bar was a great place to unwind after our concert at Codfish Hollow. The manager Myhair aka Mike went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend if you're in town to stay here!"

"Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are nice and clean. Bathtub needs some new calking. The outlets are almost all old and when plugging in my hearing aide charger and phone the plugs were loose and some didn't hold good enough to allow the charger to work. Had to unplug the hairdryer and use the outlet in the bathroom. Overall the property is nice and clean and that is the important thing. Again the manager at front desk was excellent."
