"First, I would advise anyone with a bigger body not to book this place. I struggled to fit into the box-sized toilet which I consider too small.
Second, both toilet and bath in my room does not have ventilation, making all the steam and smells to remain in the room after use.
Third, dirty towels removed from the room where left on the walk way floors. This isn't right for infection control.
Finally, the staff seemed unfriendly...."
"Very strange room quite large with a very small double bed not as wide or long as a standard double
Room was in the basement and you would not want to spend anytime in there other than to sleep.
Staff helpful and we could check in early and location was good as you could walk to everywhere in Halifax.
Ok if you just need a bed for the night as we did but not if you wanted to spend a weekend away and the hotel was part of the experience"
"It was clean enough, staff are very friendly.
Room size is soo tiny ,specially toilet sooo small, my face was soo close to the door.
No refreshments in the rooms , tea or coffee, but you can have a kettle with afew bags of tea and coffee for £3.50.
I did not have to use the parking, so I have no comment about it."
"Although the room was large and spacious being the disabled room it was very empty. No table, no kettle, no desk, no furniture whatsoever. Not even a wardrobe - just 2 hooks to fit 2 jackets. The bathroom was very bare also with barely any fittings on which to put our toothbrushs and cosmetics. The room was also very dark with no overhead lighting and just lights from around the bedhead so it was difficult to find things at night."
"The owner was brilliant on arrival and explained everything and recommended places to eat near by. There was a good band on Friday night. Proper oldy worldly pub."

"Very pleasant stay, the bedroom and bathroom was clean and the staff very helpful and friendly.
There was entertainment later on (two singers) and both were very good.
There is a function room on the lower ground which was being used, however this was not a problem and didn't disturb us.
Our room was quiet.
The bedrooms are dated and tired but functional, but this would not stop me staying there again.
I cannot comment on the food as we didn't eat there.
Overall good for the price."
"Horrible experience. They gave me the wrong code for the lock box so I wasn’t able to get in until 645 pm. The place was a mess as well. When I finally got into my room it reeked of weed. When I told them about this they told me just to light a candle. I left and asked for a refund immediately, and they stopped responding until Expedia got involved. Then they eventually denied it. Awful service, gross place"
"I was extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was very dirty and clearly not properly cleaned. There were noticeable yellow stains on the wall next to the toilet in the bathroom, which was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, the bedding was unhygienic and didn't feel clean at all. I definitely would not recommend staying here."
