"Staff very welcoming & helpful Parking very tight, couldn’t use with our new car so used public car park nearby free overnight ."

"The place goes by a different name so went passed it at first (spikes lodge) the man that met us at the reception we nice enough gave us a quick run down of things to no. .pros and cons. Cons : they do not serve food here now which was not advertised , so turned up hungry and nothing to eat was told there was a pub down the road Queens head ,which was nice food and the portions are big. The worst sleep I have ever had the bed was so hard (even the pillows ... All of them)I am still in pain ,...

"Good choice if you need to take a break before get on LeShuttle or Ferry to France"

"This Little inn above the pub was so charming. The room was fantastic, cozily decorated and had a big window. The weather was perfect, and we were able to have the window open. Caution with the window open, it can be a little noisy from the pub downstairs. But no worries on that. We enjoyed hearing folks having lots of fun! It's also conveniently located and easily walkable to the old town. And of course, gorgeous Beach."

"Great ty"

"Philip and his wife Nikki have a wonderful Hotel and are lovely people! Our room was tidy, comfortable, quiet, and had small touches like complimentary tea and cookies that were so appreciated and enjoyed by us. I had the best sleeps I had on our entire 2-week stay while here, so much so that I missed breakfast unfortunately--(my fiancé made it though and said the food was delicious also). If we are ever in the area again, we will be back. Thank you for the fantastic experience!"

"Nice spot for a short stay."

"Lovely historic cottage, spotless well-appointed and comfortable room, friendly helpful owners, and delicious breakfast. Just mind your head on the low ceilings!"

"Lodge was beautiful in a very quiet secluded wooded area. It was well equipped with everything you need. Hot tub, BBQ and seating area lovely. Very comfortable bed and kitchen had everything you need. Really great stay."

"Very happy with the accommodation and facilities."

"The property was absolutely fine as a base. Easily walkable to the shops and the seafront. The parking is not great around the area. There is pay and display parking nearby but on-street parking was limited. The host replied quickly to any messages I sent and was helpful. The only negative I have is that the resident upstairs, above the property, was quite noisy when moving around in the night time."

"This was fun and different to do. However £380 for one night on a Sunday in October was way too much. I think £200 would be a fairer price. I’ve stayed in way nicer treehouses for less than £380 during the winter. I expected much higher standard. The bathroom was tiny. There should have been underfloor heating as the floor was freezing and it took ages to heat up using the fire and the pathetic heaters under the bed. It was too cold for a long time and cold when we woke up in the morning and...

"Nice property in remote location, room was very well maintained and comfortable, only issue was road noise."

"You never know what to expect when travelling somewhere new but this place is lovely, it felt like a home away from home. The small touches like the thank you card, the candle, the decor, even the garden made it feel very homely. The host was amazing, she made me feel welcome, she showed me around and was very friendly. I had my privacy but she checked in to see if I was ok and to see if I needed anything which I thought was sweet. I loved my stay here and I will definitely come here again. If...

"Becky is an amazing host, met us on our arrival to make sure we were happy with everything or had any questions and helped with bags! Our stay was very enjoyable - seclusion of camping with the luxury of hot showers and the outdoor bath. Our kids loved the hammock. Baby cows in the field made it for us! Easy ramble to village store/cafe and two pubs."
