"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Innsbruck. So very accommodating and peaceful surroundings. There’s a recreational trail nearby that runs along a river. I believe it ends in downtown Stowe. We enjoyed a morning walk taking in the views and didn’t go that far; however, they have bikes that can be borrowed for free. It’s also conveniently located to all that Stowe and Waterbury have to offer via car, just off the main road, but still felt tucked away."

"A lovely, personal experience at the Smuggler's Notch Inn. The owners, Lisa and Pat, made us feel at home during our stay. The property is lovely - it is older but it adds to the charm. Nothing was missing for us during our stay and we had everything needed."

"It was the most perfect room. Like stepping back in time."

"We signed up for one of the separate cabins and got placed in motel row of rooms next to highway. Not at all that was represented in the photos. Only one chair at the 2’x2’ table. Heater was not working so he brought us two plug in units. That was ok. Shower was disgustingly filthy. The shower curtain was loaded with mold and filth at the bottom. If they expected us to clean dishes then I would have been using the bathroom sink and a used bath towel to dry them. I do not recommend ever staying...

"Excellent location at a reasonable price. Owner was very helpful and welcoming. We would stay again!"

"I liked the ski lodge/honey feel. The hallway and room was probably 80 degrees all night even though it wasn’t really that cold outside. There was no way to regulate temperatures in each room. Had to sleep with the door open to the back patio area. Also the toilet was jammed or something so that didn’t flush, had to lift toilet lid off snd pull stopper manually to flush. It was cheap."

"Bud was very hospitable and overall great! Externally, very aesthetic and inviting. The interior can definitely use some TLC, but it really also depends on your expectations. It’s a country house so don’t expect anything lavish or over the top. Another reviewer wrote that it’s like staying at grandma’s. Couldn’t agree more. If you like trendy and fancy, this is not the place. If you like rustic, quiet and low key- this will do the job. We enjoyed our stay. "

"There was no-one around at Check-in and check-out and any other time in-between. The pool was green and spa not working and main building locked and empty. Our room keys were left in a basket at the front door. There was wi-fi but no password and therefore no wi-fi. The published numbers did not answer. The rooms seemed clean enough but it was a ghost town! I am surprised that this was still listed on hotels.com!"

"It is a beautiful old house with original wood floors. The room was well-appointed and the hostess was warm and informative about the area with lots of suggestions for every activity we asked her about."

"It was my second stay there. Maybe not a 5-star hotel, but a very pleasant stay and nice, friendly staff. Will be back soon!"
