"Front desk clerk was not very knowledgeable. She didn’t know where dog area was, didn’t know at peak check in time 4:30 pm, if maintenance was available to help get our TV connected that wasn’t working. Said she thought he went home and no one could help until the next day. She said she would check with manager but didn’t know where the manager had gone or when manager would be back. Obviously she received no training and should not be left alone."
"I am so impressed. It was like a luxury to be there for the night, so calm and peaceful, so well-appointed and maintained. You drive up and it looks like a motel but very nice. And you go to your room and it is amazing. The only single thing is that the folks in the adjoining room were a bit loud in the morning. Morning people :) It was just an amazing place, highly recommended."
"The property was quaint. It was kind of dated, but was good for what we needed it for (sleep and shower after a day out in mother nature). The shower was large enough to comfortably fit my wife and I. I didn't try the breakfast at all, so I can't rate that. I would most likely stay there again (just might get a king bed instead of the queen)."
"Older property, furniture has seen better days. It was nice to have mini refrigerator but it needed defrosting. Room also comes with microwave, coffee maker, coffee grounds, coffee filters, and glass mugs. These units are located in the closet space so no room to hang clothes or open a suitcase. Room was cramped. It does have air conditioning but we didn’t use it. Toilet has a leak and runs all night long. Owner should consider adding hooks in the bathroom for towels and in the room to hang up...
"Very disappointing stay. The room smelled horrible, and check-in wasn’t even handled on-site—we had to go down the street to another motel to check in.
The biggest concern was that the smoke detector in our room was wrapped in plastic, which appeared to make it nonfunctional. The property itself was dirty, with overflowing trash, and the advertised pool was nothing more than a small plastic kids’ pool like you would buy from a store. The parking lot was also extremely small and cramped.

"A wonderful home right in the lap of nature soaking in beautiful Mount Shasta. We spent a most relaxing and rejuvenating weekend in Basecamp lodge. Being vegetarians, we were able to come back after our day long trek and cook nice meals using the well equipped kitchen. Provisions easily purchased from the nearby supermarket, Ray’s food place is a great option 10 min away. The cabin had an elegant design with a good working TV and internet :). A perfect getaway for a couple or a small family!"
