"We had an incredible stay at Kandahar Lodge and can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, the staff was friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere throughout our visit.
The location is perfect—just a short walk to the base of the mountain where we enjoyed hiking, biking, and the scenic chairlift to the top with stunning views of Whitefish and the lake. The mountain also offers a free shuttle to town, which made getting around super convenient.
The highlight of our stay was without a doubt Buchanan’s Chophouse. We ended up dining there daily—the food was consistently excellent, the outdoor patio was perfect, and the service was top-notch. Huge thanks to James, the owner, who personally made us feel at home, and TJ, the bartender, who served up amazing drinks and great conversation.
This lodge offers the perfect balance of adventure, comfort, and hospitality. We’re already looking forward to coming back this winter to ski and wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
Thanks again for everything! "
"We stayed in the Wolf Den, at Little Piece of Heaven for the long weekend of our family reunion that was at the family cabin just down the road. Check in with Gary was super easy, and they were very accommodating. These little cabins are so perfect and the view is amazing! It was clean and had everything we needed. I highly recommend these accommodations if you’re staying in the area."
Ski-in / Ski-out Standalone Cabin - Perfect for Families
10/10 Excellent
"Very clean, comfortable beds, and a fantastic location! We had a little trouble with the stove/oven, but it didn’t take away from an otherwise great stay. Would definitely stay again"
"This was our second time staying here. It was exactly as we remembered. Close proximity to our family reunion in the North Fork, Polebridge, and Cyclone trail. Property was tranquil and the owners were lovely to deal with. It would be our go to spot in the future. "
"Cabin is very new and was very nice! We met some great other guests and all the kids played together in the common area. The only reason I gave a down one star was the gravel road in but that is not under their control. "
GLACIER GLAMPING! STEPS FROM THE POLEBRIDGE MERCANTILE!
10/10 Excellent
"We enjoyed our stay at Polebridge which hosted a saloon, mercantile, playground and a number of small homesteads. The store offered homemade baked goods with basic supplies and served as a fun destination for our kids.*get a deal if you buy a dozen cookiesThe saloon had great drinks and free access to water through the day. With walkie talkies in hand (and 10) I was able to let my kids go for the day to enjoy a tech free independent experience. The location was 2 miles from upper west glacier with access via gravel road to two lakes. We were able to take north fork road to camas road to access the main areas of west glacier. (These areas are typically connected within the park but this summer part of the road was closed). Our hosts were extremely communicative and helpful. They were quick to reply and went out of their way to support us whenever they could. "
